What time is it?⏰ Quiet time...

This week after the holiday of lights and before the new year offers a rare stretch of “in-between” where time seems to loosen its grip.

What do we do with this quiet time?

I say, we make beauty of it, especially of the silent moments between us and our bodies—when we’re at ease, alone, or even lost in thought. Makes sense to me since little is demanded from us. It’s a good time to turn our attention to its true home, starting with our skin.

But why? Because skin is the organ that places us in the world while protecting us on our journey through it. It’s not just our first line of defense, it holds our memories and our experiences. Skin bears marks of time, change, genetics, and care—or the lack of it.

Best of all, skin is resilient. It keeps working, balancing inner imperatives with outer demands all in the best interest of our health, asking very little in return.

Skin is a place where we can rest our attention and hands to calm and care for our bodies, minds and this amazing organ that establishes our sovereignty in the world.

It isn’t just a landscape of aesthetics or our time here—it is a vital organ with a much larger story unfolding.

So take the journey along this existential line in the sand. Keep tuning in and learn more about how to care for your skin as it takes care of you.
