the fire🔥within us—happy lunar new year!🧧
Fire changed everything for us. Its discovery reordered human connection and destiny, offering warmth, protection, and ritual. Fire is primal and dual-natured: destructive when untended, transformative when guided. It is a force that gathers us and demands our respect.
This lunar year is a rare 60-year cycle event of the Fire Horse, symbolizing intense energy, rapid change, and calls for bold, independent action.
In the act of a true full gallop, each horse hoof strikes independently and there’s a moment of suspension where all four legs are tucked beneath its body, airborne.Â
Like a leap of faith, it demands risk and intention.Â
The question isn’t whether the fire within is burning, it is whether we are tending it wisely.
Nurturing our creative fire through the practice of whole-body skincare has been my passion from eu2be’s inception.Â
When we care for our skin, the body’s external organ, we’re caring for the body’s complex, internal, integrated health systems while also regulating stress, restoring resilience, and anchoring ourselves.Â
Our habits as much as our response to moments in history shape our destiny and provide a framework for what we choose. As Viktor Frankl wrote, “everything can be taken from a man but one thing: to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

That is what Jesse Jackson embodied, standing on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in the aftermath of Dr. King’s assassination. What he felt we cannot know. But the fire he carried forward, we can.
“I am somebody.”
Not because of wealth.

Not because of status.

Not because of power.
But because dignity is inherent.
At a time when many felt locked out and looked over, he named the pain without surrendering the dignity. Courage and empathy were not abstractions; they were disciplined fire.
I am championing the fire within because a passion-driven life lights a path not only for ourselves, but for others.Â
Words can change a life. As Danny Thomas once told his daughter Marlo, “I raised you to be a thoroughbred, and thoroughbreds run their own races. They don't look at any of the other horses.”
In a culture addicted to speed and comparison that may be the bravest intention of all.Â
You are somebody.
I am somebody.
Let’s tend our creative fire within.

Protect your energy.
Run your race.Â
Thank you for supporting me running mine.
And let’s keep hope alive. RIP Rev Jesse Jackson.
